Digital Marketing Intern

Game Plan is seeking an energetic and determined Digital Marketing Intern. We are the Leader and the only all-in-one platform for total Athlete development on and off the field. With usage rates growing at over 150% and our platform entering the national spotlight, we are looking to capitalize on the moment. {WeAreGamePlan.com}

Please note that this internship will likely be fully remote, given the ongoing effects of COVID.

What You Will Do

Your weekly tasks will be determined by the Game Plan team based on your ability and skill set. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the Marketing & Brand Management Team (whether individually or in support of)

• Helping produce and promote our Podcast
• Writing Copy for Social Media (Twitter/Linkedin/Facebook/Instagram)
• Creating mailing lists for large campaigns
• Developing meaningful blog posts, focused on the Student-Athlete experience.
• Proofreading and writing copy that will be used on our site and platform.
• Other duties as assigned
  

Must Haves

• A Background in college athletics or be a current Student-Athlete
• Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
• A passion for Social Media and Digital Marketing
• Experience monitoring and utilizing social media analytics
• Currently studying Marketing, Journalism, or other related field
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Can be self-directed and proactive
• Positive attitude and drive.
  

Big Pluses

• Experience with Photoshop and/or the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with maintaining a blog
• Active in the Student-Athlete Community. (SAAC etc)
• Active on social media channels
  

Note that this Internship is unpaid so we are looking for someone willing to contribute and driven to gain a great experience to add to their resume. We will be conscientious of time restraints. Weekly check-ins will be used to help keep you on track and goal-oriented while still giving you the freedom/ability to provide value in your own unique way. Internship is summer through Fall 2021.
